3A P1: Individual Reflection

When beginning this project, we initially struggled with figuring out how the company description matched with what our presentation should be. We struggled to define our company’s niche and how to pitch it as solving an existing problem. Once we spoke more with Nick about the project it was helpful to shift our presentation to be more about pitching a new feature to solve the problems of our existing company.

Being able to go back and re-workshop our initial TAM/SAM/SOM, BMC, business model, etc. to be more about new features was really helpful for me. Our group spent a lot of time discussing different options and how to work from and expand on the initial company description. Being able to adapt these helped me get a better understanding of each of the activities we did as we worked them to fit our new company.

I think if we had more time I’d like to discuss our business model more with the CAs and Christina and expand more on the token idea. We initially talked about it also as a means to build community (you can get tokens from engaging with friends), but it made it harder to track through financial projections and our business model. I’d also like to look more into user interviews to make sure that we are making sure we are meeting user needs and giving them features that are useful.
