Mood Board
A key feature of our app, Stretchy, will be to allow users to set their stretching intentions, allowing us to tailor their experience accordingly. We wanted to capture the diversity of these intentions, and thus, we split our mood board app into four regions that capture four of our main personas.
- In the top left, we use yellow to represent our users that want to stretch for physical/fitness-related reasons. The yellow is energizing, getting our users into an active spirit and encouraging them to pursue their mobility goals.
- In the top right, we use ivory/cream to represent our users that need to stretch due to their sedentary lifestyles but never have the time. The minimalism of this corner ensures that users don’t feel Stretchy is a distraction, seamlessly integrating stretching into their day-to-day.
- In the bottom left, we use blue to represent our users that want to stretch for mental/wellness-related reasons. The blue grounds our users in a calm and mindful state, evoking relaxation when they stretch.
- In the bottom right, we use green to represent our users that want to stretch for overall health reasons. They recognize that stretching leads to a longer and healthier life, and the green symbolizes this health theme.
Style Tiles
Our “Stretchy” app style tile was designed with a playful yet purposeful approach, using a pastel color palette of mint green, soft blue, yellow cream, and lavender that invites users into our calming digital sanctuary. We chose these colors as strategic companions on the wellness journey, with each shade carefully chosen to evoke both a refreshing energy and tranquil mindfulness we value and want our users to embody. We aim to encourage our users to stretch with leaderboards that celebrate the user with encouragements like “You’re in the lead! Keep your crown :)”. In a similar manner, our adorable downward dog mascot “Stretchy” reminds everyone that caring for your health can be fun and rewarding, therefore sparking joy. Through rounded corners and flexible color schemes, we’ve designed an interface where stretching feels less like a chore, and instead feels like a relaxing and casual invitation to join friends for a revitalizing break.
