Clickable Prototype and Usability Script

Introduction:

For our project, I introduce BookBounce, an app switcher that is designed to help users stay focused by reinforcing intentional reading sessions. Unlike apps that simply limit social media usage, our approach centers on commitment – when a user starts a reading session, they set a timer with the intention to read. During this time, if they try to switch to another app, they are seamlessly redirected back to their reading app, helping them stay engaged. Once the session ends, all apps become accessible again, ensuring that reading remains a dedicated, uninterrupted experience without feeling restrictive. By prioritizing intention over restriction, our app helps users develop sustainable reading habits that fit naturally into their daily lives. Through our usability test, we aim to see if users find the onboarding process intuitive, if session management feels natural, and whether they understand how to track their reading progress. Their feedback will help us ensure the app effectively supports readers in building lasting habits.
