Working on the Edusphere pitch was an insightful experience. The case study gave us a solid starting point, but we quickly found significant information gaps and untested assumptions, which led us to conduct customer interviews and secondary research to understand the problem space.
Our project evolved from a broad focus on an EdTech startup struggling with conversion and revenue to a clear plan: a content creation and management platform for tutors, with student and parent views, aimed at tutoring centers and after-school programs. For the pitch, I focused on the solution and business model, working with the team to define features like shared dashboards that save hours, detailed progress tracking with visibility for parents and students, and curated video playlists for sessions.
I also proposed a tiered pricing model based on organization size and student count—starting with small to medium tutoring centers, with a long-term path to school districts, enterprises, and franchises. Overall, collaborating to identify problem gaps and outline mitigation strategies was a productive and rewarding learning process.
