Reflection on Pitch Phase

I started out skeptical about the state of our product: how could EduSphere achieve 4 million users when their website took so long to load and was hosted on WordPress? I was able to shift my mindset and focus on the pedagogical aspect of this project and forewent my initial approach towards realism. Now that our team has focused on attention on a specific user base and our product is taking shape, I am more confident about what direction we are going.

For the pitch, I was responsible for the competitive analysis and the target market. I enjoyed researching different tutoring services, products, and tools to get a better understanding of the specifics of each competitor as well as general market trends. Varsity Tutors still spams me with calls about matching my child with a tutor…

I also liked the presentation and feedback format of the pitch. It was reminiscent to my experience at my internships where we would present to senior leaders and stakeholders and they would ask questions.
