My experience thus far into this class has been very positive in a way that I was not expecting. As a computer science major on the HCI track, this class is a requirement to take. Prior to this quarter, I had little to no interest in product management and even less knowledge about the industry in general. After working on Fitpulse, this is now a career field I want to thoroughly explore.
Recovery metrics are not something that I have ever considered before and to discover, within this process, that there is such a huge market for access to these metrics has been super fascinating. I enjoyed conducting interviews with potential consumers and thinking about products in a way that starts with customer needs.
I also appreciated the guest speakers and the feedback from individuals with industry experience. From what I have heard, this is a complicated field to break into, so I think it is very cool that this class provides such a large amount of potential connections and mentors for those who would be interested.
Working with this team has been very enjoyable and a huge learning experience. I appreciated working with such diverse perspectives while working on this project and improving our product.
