Clickable Prototype and Usability Script – Team Buffalo

Nudgi is an app that seeks to strengthen personal connections through increased awareness of messaging habits and social accountability. Initially developed as a method to combat the all-too-common experience of leaving friends on read, Nudgi works with users to stay more present in their relationships by making it easier to follow up, respond, and show up for the people they care about. To reflect the app’s belief that staying in touch should feel fun rather than obligatory, users begin by choosing a penguin avatar dressed in one of eight fruit costumes as their in-app identity, setting a playful and low-pressure tone from the very first screen. From there, users can send manual nudges to friends who have not replied to a message and snooze incoming nudges to a time that works better for them. The app also lets users designate close friends, who are sorted to the top of their conversations list and treated with a higher priority across nudges and notifications. Whatever the pattern may be, whether it is forgetting to reply, getting distracted, or simply losing track of a thread, Nudgi gives users the tools to take control of how they show up in their friendships, turning passive neglect into intentional communication.
