Team 9 is focused on increasing veggie intake. The following participant, Jenny, really highlighted that it’s easier for her to eat vegetables back at home because she has the options she enjoys eating; dining halls often only have one of two veggie options per meal and Jenny does not like Brussels sprouts or steamed broccoli. Here is Jenny’s behavioral persona and journey map:
Behavioral Persona: Jenny
| Role: | Current Stanford undergrad. She lives in EVGR but prefers to go over to friend’s row houses to eat lunch and dinner. |
| Goal | Eat a portion of vegetables with each lunch and dinner. She wants to be healthier but doesn’t want to overdo it, as she believes that smaller changes are more sustainable for her in the long run. |
| Motivation | To build healthy habits. She knows that vegetable intake is related to how much energy one has in a day, and she would like to improve her energy levels. |
| Conflict | Dining halls don’t always have the vegetable options that Jenny likes. As a college student, she doesn’t get to do a lot of meal prepping but rather relies on what the dining halls or row houses choose for that meal. |
| Attempts to Solve | Jenny has tried to eat healthier in the past but attempts are short-lived. She says the motivation hasn’t been big enough to actually want her to sustain change. |
| Setting/ Environment | Stanford undergrad dorm; Stanford campus |
| Tools | Dining plan; dining dollars; fridge and stove in EVGR |
| Skills | Time management; |
| Routines | Go on grocery runs every 10 days approximately |
| Habits | Going to Starbucks, getting a coffee or refresher |
