Distribution Channels
Our FarmLink app will be made available on the App Store and Google Play Store to reach both iOS and Android users. This will be the best channel as it is widely available, easily accessible, and is a familiar platform to our users. Customers will also be able to purchase subscription boxes on our website.
Sales Strategy
FarmLink is a subscription-based service, where our users will receive a produce box from local farms on a weekly or monthly basis. The purpose of this is to give our users the feeling of slow and mindful consumption – as opposed to the on-demand convenience that UberEats and DoorDash provides – staying true to our core value of conscious consumption.
Marketing and Promotion
A large part of our growth will come from word-of mouth marketing. Good, cheap produce is often the talk of the town, so our focus will be on quality. Additionally, we can market the launch of our app at farmers markets, getting local farms involved in promoting their produce boxes to their existing and current customers. We also plan to send free boxes to micro- to mid-range health, fitness, and cooking influencers who’ll help get the word out to their audiences about our farm fresh ingredients. Our target audience will pay attention because for them, food is of the utmost importance.
Customer Service Strategy
We will offer chat-based support, using Intercom’s AI product Fin. Queries that need to be answered by a human will be redirected to our small, overseas support team. We will not offer phone support because of the additional costs associated with that channel; however, customers will be able to use both email and chat along with a FAQ on our website.
