[Homesquare] Personal Reflection

What went well?
I really enjoyed the process of working together with a team consisted of individuals of varying academic and professional backgrounds. Learning about everyone’s perspectives in building one project together is a truly inspirational experience. Everyone on the team has contributed to the project with passion and insights, transforming the housing platform Homesquare of dwindling consumer trust into an exciting project that seeks to rebuild trust through sharp understanding of users’ needs and innovative product design.

What I have learned?
The whole product design journey that we have gone through, including identifying the market, interviewing about our consumers’ needs, mapping out competitors, and brainstorming solutions based on working assumptions has helped me streamline the process of orchestrating dissonance in a service product into an improved feature. This provides a systematic way for us as a team to understand how to iterate a product for the better when we identify lack of growth. It is also important for us to turn the quantitive analysis into qualitative product features that seeks to target users’ pain points.

What I wish we have done more?
More interviews will definitely be very interesting and help us understand the landscape even better.
