How do I see the product management job?

After reading the preface and chapter One of Product Management in Practice, I see product management role as an orquestreator of a specific team in a company. It is like being a founder of one specific project of an entire organization. This requires leadership skills, vision, organization, and drive.

However, I am curious to see how the author would organize his work week. He mentions that he could work from 10 am to 4 pm and that would be enough. But I feel that great product managers are like great entrepreneurs… they go beyond their role and push everything to move the company forward. I am curious to see how did the author organize his work week to be able to outstand and be extraordinary at his job?
