Proto-Personas & Journey Maps

I created a user persona based off of one of our user interviews that represents many of our target users: students and new graduates entering sedentary careers. Gibby is a Computer Science student who hopes to become a Software Engineer. As someone preparing for a career that involves long hours of sitting and working on a laptop, they are concerned about maintaining good posture. Gibby is motivated to improve their posture because they want to look and feel healthier, live a long life, and be perceived positively by others. Since Gibby is already engaged in fitness activities, integrating posture improving behaviors into their routine could be a promising solution, similar to the anchoring strategy we learned about in Tiny Habits. In addition, passive reminders could also be effective since they have constant access to their phone and laptop. It seems like Gibby generally has the worst posture when they first wake up and towards the evening and night. These might be times of the day that would be most effective for us to target in our solution.
