    • Born and raised in India. Joined Meta 2 years ago and moved to the US.
    • Have to give presentations on a day-to-day basis
    • Generally prepares the content and not much focus on the speech
    • But have had multiple instances when wanted to get better at presenting
    • Feels speaking properly has an overall effect on his confidence
    • Found himself using a lot of filler words and taking unnecessary pauses
    • Practiced in front of the mirror to practice his articulation and also recorded himself
    • It would be nice to have some solution for monitoring his speech at crucial times and giving personalized feedbacks
    • He is not very confident about using technology for his speech improvement. But is open to trying using an app to suggest changes in his speaking style
    • Almost all his colleagues are nonnative speakers who face similar issues and would be interested in a solution like this
  • Interview 8 : Shiyuan Liu (Non Native speaker, incoming masters student in EE at Stanford)
    • Studied in China her whole life. First time coming out of the country
    • Not very comfortable in giving English presentations or speeches
    • Have practiced all her speeches in the past and did rote memorization
    • Feels very underconfident due to her limited vocabulary and lack of speaking skills
    • Usually, practices with friends and asks for their advice on content also related to paraphrasing and stuff.
    • Would be really interested in trying out any tool that can help her improve her vocab, pronunciation and fluency
    • A lot of her friends are also in similar situations as they moved out just now from China and would also be interested in exploring something of this kind.
