Our application, Memento, is a subscription-based scrapbooking service that aims to make it easy for users to better remember the daily moments. The way it works is simple: users receive a daily notification to submit a photo and very quick prompt; at the end of a specified period, users can purchase and receive a scrapbook delivered right to their door. We value human connections and creative autonomy; our product gives power to our users and serves as a useful tool in remembrance and joy.
If we were to launch our product for real, here are some of the OKRs we would measure our product’s launch by:
- 1000+ subscribers within the quarter
- We want to measure if our physical component is actually valuable or not. If it’s appearing that a number of our daily users are not actually purchasing the physical product at the end, perhaps it is a sign we should move away from this model.
- ~500 daily users (interacting with notifications, uploading photos/prompts)
- A good measure could be 4+ photos or prompts uploaded to the app per day. In addition: are users actually paying attention to notifications? (How many notifications per week are clicked on? How many are swiped away?)
- 80% retention rate
- We also want to measure how many people continue to use our product even after purchasing a physical scrapbook. From here, we can revise our plan on retaining users.
