Pros
- Services are typically offered for free to the user
- Highly scalable business model
Cons
- Ad prices are awfully low so a large following is required to be successful
- The user experience is full of spam and ads
- Users are the product
- Products are intentionally designed to be addictive because the tech company is fighting for your attention
