Assumption Testing

One of the important assumptions Amara relies on, especially in its plans to collaborate with high-end luxury brands, is that since it has already spent a long time helping sell indigenous crafts that are ethically sourced but also authentic, the company can be more trustworthy by customers who have these criteria in the products they are purchasing. And that they would trust less another competing company that claims ethicality without the history. To test that, I made 2 identical online selling mock posts of the same product with the same price, but one of them claimed ethicality, pointing out that Amara has been a leader in ethical sourcing and authenticity for a long time prior whilst the other post did not. Then I made a lot of individuals in the US choose between the two products. And, in fact, 80% of people chose the first post, supporting our assumption.
