Behavioral-Personas and Journey Maps

Hi everyone! My name is Lucy and I’m part of Team Anteater. We’re studying posture and comfort during focused work, especially in informal, floor-based settings. For my proto-persona, I chose the Floor-Based Studier and Reader. This persona represents someone who prefers to work from the floor because it feels more relaxed and grounding, particularly when trying to focus. She often slouches or leans forward while reading or studying, prioritizing comfort and concentration over conventional “good posture.” While this position helps her enter a focused state, it can lead to discomfort over time, creating tension between short-term comfort and long-term physical strain. We saw this pattern reflected reminder across our observations and discussions. This persona is helpful for understanding how posture evolves during sustained focus and where low-friction interventions might support comfort without disrupting attention. My journey map follows a potential focus session this proto-persona might experience from setup to the end of a study session.

Here is my journey map and persona!
