Rationale: The words written on this moodboard (building, galvanizing, communal, focused, and satisfying) describe the way we want our app to feel. Yes, the app is about accountability, but it is more about pushing people you care about to accomplish their goals. Together, the whole group is working towards bettering themselves, and that growth is a communal activity. We want users to feel like they are working together towards a common goal rather than competing against each other. All of this becomes part of our brand that focuses on positivity, energy, support, and working together.
Rationale: We described this moodboard as “Duolingo meets SaaS.” It’s gentle, and maybe even a bit playful, but it’s not silly or highly gamified. Our mood board brought together themes of positivity, building, and working together, so a bright aesthetic reminiscent of productivity apps felt like the right choice. This aesthetic will align with our brand, which centers on working together and positively supporting each other. It will set a tone of support and productivity rather than something with a harsh or negative connotation (like shame or grit) or something unserious (like a purely gamified aesthetic).
