Team 16 is focused on the behavior of giving and receiving compliments. I created Two personas: Kind Katherine and Intrigued Ian to represent two user groups that would be target users for our prototype.
Persona 1: Kind Katherine
Kind Katherine is a very outgoing and confident sophomore in college. She loves socializing with people and is constantly hanging out with friends and meeting new people. She finds herself giving compliments frequently but tends to focus more on superficial compliments like “I like your outfit” as opposed to more serious and true compliments like “You have a kind soul”. She is working on giving out compliments with more depth.
Persona 2: Intrigued Ian
Intrigued Ian is a senior in college and is curious, introverted and thoughtful. He is starting to realize that he is in college for only a few more months and wants to make sure that his friends know how much he appreciates them. He has a lot of positive thought but doesn’t always compliment people because he is worried that they won’t receive it well and that he will embarrass himself. He knows that gender can also play a role in compliment giving and also doesn’t want to seem too forward at times.
