Product Management in Practice

2 –

How do you see a product manager’s job?

I think that a product manager’s role is about bridging gaps such as connecting user needs, business goals, and team capabilities. It’s less about directly building products and more about aligning stakeholders, navigating ambiguity, and facilitating collaboration. I believe that the real challenge lies in balancing strategic vision with practical constraints while continuously iterating for minimal or maximal improvements. A great product manager doesn’t just lead; they enable others to excel, clear roadblocks, and adapt fast, ensuring every decision contributes to delivering real value to users. It’s about influence, resilience, and making the entire team’s efforts come together meaningfully.

What questions would you have for the author of the book?

How can a product manager adapt to having so many roles within one role? What are the advantages and disadvantages of the lines being blurry between role definitions? Does this flexibility enable creativity?
