Description:
The persona that I created named Social Suzy is a character who uses their social interactions as a strong deterrent as well as an alternative to using social media. They derive more pleasure and gain more utility from spending time with people in person and having individual conversations rather than the mindless, low-level entertainment that social media provides. They don’t have a huge problem mediating their social media consumption and feel like they have a good handle on their screen time. There are difficult habits and routines to break, and these tend to lead to more social media use than ideal.
The breakdown of the journey map for Social Suzy includes the times when they used social media over the 5 days as well as the thoughts and feelings that they had at those times. Some interesting notes were highlighted such as the fact that this week was an unusually busy week with personal life taking precedent over social media consumption for Social Suzy.

Description:
The persona that I created named Busy Billy is a very busy and uses social media at times as a destressor or tool to procrastinate. The stress and the busy scheduling is a big trigger to start scrolling on social media. An interesting problem that arises with Busy Billy is that social media becomes a tool to reduce stress but it increases the time spent not doing work and leads to an increased amount of stress. This character has a lot less control over their social media use, and has a very hard time managing their screen time.
The breakdown of Busy Billy is also spread over the 5 days of the study and include the times when they used social media as well as their thoughts and feelings during those times. Interesting notes are also there including other big uses of phone that contribute to screen time which are calling family as well as checking the news.
