On Team 1’s clickable prototype, we have 7 flows: onboarding, scheduling, note-taking, manual reminder flow, automatic reminder flow, reflection flow, and a friends/feed flow.
For our onboarding flow, we bring the user through a sign up/login flow and then prompt them with questions to get to know them better and find out what goals they have with the app. After the onboarding screen, the users are taken to the “home” screen which will be our friends list screen which is the first screen in our tab navigator.
For our note-taking flow, users will have to create a note about a particular friend and set up a reminder with the note. We added this feature because from our comparative research, diary studies, and interviews, users that keep tabs and reflect on their interactions have more meaningful interactions and friendships.
For our scheduling flow, users will have to schedule an interaction with a friend. Some key features we have on this flow are suggested times that make it easy to find overlapping free times with friends and suggested conversation topics that are based off of note titles and mutual interests.
For our manual reminder and automatic reminder flows, we have a user receive a notification from the app (either manual reminder or an automatic nudge generated from the app). Then, they go through the scheduling flow based off of what the reminder prompted.
For the reflection flow, users will write a reflection after their interaction which will then be saved with the particular user they just interacted with.
For our last flow, the friends/feed flow, users will go through their friends list and glean all their friend details. In addition, through the feed, they will be able to see what their friends are up to and create conversations from that.
Moving forwards, we will want to fine-tune our designs and make them more hi-fi like. In addition, we will try to standardize our illustrations and find ones that work and better match our app’s brand.
