Our team is creating Hunchie, a physical posture reminder device designed to gently encourage better sitting habits throughout your day. Hunchie takes the form of a small hedgehog figure mounted on a spring that is positioned at the edge of your desk. The design works in two intuitive ways. If you slouch forward, you make physical contact with Hunchie, serving as a tactile nudge to sit back up. When you lean too far back, Hunchie comes directly into your line of sight, acting as a visual reminder to straighten your posture. Our goal is a gentle, non-intrusive reminder that fits naturally into your workflow without causing frustration or distraction. Hunchie is also paired with a companion app that helps with the set-up, keeps track of your goals and sessions, and shows you trends in your posture data.
