Team Anteaters: Usability Report

Issues (Ranked from most to least important, with 1 being top priority)

Major Bug Fixes

  1. Improve navigation: Create onboarding guide/tutorial for users, with clear instructions for each feature (how to get food, the recovery missions, etc.)
  2. Recovery mission mechanism: 7 tasks are too difficult to complete 
  3. Reward mechanism: increase HP recovered from treats to better align with damage caused by hits
  4. Incorporate goal-oriented task recommendations for recovery missions/breaks. E.g. Creative (current), posture-related only, mindfulness and self-care
  5. Reward system airdrop: occasionally drop rewards during the session to keep users motivated. 

Minor bug fixes 

  1. Timer should stop/restart after Hunchie runs away (also when completing breaks)
  2. Inventory system: Show “empty” when no items are available, not full.
  3. Clarify that stimulated hits and ‘skip to break’ functions are for demo purposes only
  4. Make opening the reward box after a break interactive (clickable)
  5. Small CSS/layout issues (redundant timer, duplicate end session button, Settings button should be made more apparent.)

  • Breaks are fun
  • Rewards and gamification element is engaging
  • Really liked gift box opening treats
  • Hunchie rolling up animation is cute
  • Ability to view Hunchie’s mood
  • Hunchie’s avatar is adorable
  • Found simulated hit buttons intuitive
  • Enjoyed interactive elements like feeding the hedgehog character
  • Character recovery mechanics engaged user interest
