Summary
Tuck-In is our behavior change intervention designed to bridge that gap. The product pairs a physical “sleep companion” teddy bear with a mobile app to help college students wind down and build consistent sleep routines. The bear serves as a tangible, emotionally grounding presence in the bedtime environment, while the app provides personalized wind-down activities, gentle nudges, and progress tracking. Together, they create a system that replaces late-night phone use with a calming ritual, making the transition to sleep feel less like a chore and more like something students actually look forward to. The goal of this project was to design and evaluate a behavior-change intervention that helps college students build more consistent sleep routines by replacing screen-based decompression with a more supportive, lower-stimulation wind-down ritual.
