Week 6 PSP: Test Cards for Products That Flopped

Quibi:

We believe: people are willing to pay $5/month for 10-minute-long shows that they can only watch on their phone

To verify, we will: post ads on public transport to market to commuters three shows on our app

And measure: how many users visit our website, how many start a subscription, and how many remain subscribed after week three.

We are right if: 5% start a trial and half of those users are still using the platform after three weeks.

Humane AI Pin:

We believe: people will wear and prefer using an AI pin instead of using their smartphone

To verify, we will: conduct user interviews and a 2-week preliminary product test to simulate the use of this AI pin for a few hours at a time

And measure: the number of requests made through the pin versus their phone and how that changes over the two weeks.

We are right if: users increase their usage of the pin over the two weeks and at least 40% of users say they would purchase the pin

Juicero:

We believe: people want fresh juice and are willing to pay $400 for a juice press because it gets more juice out of a pack than hands can

To verify, we will: run interviews and ask users to squeeze the juice out of the pack with their hands

And measure: the percentage of participants who are convinced of the value of the juice press (want the press) after the experiment

We are right if: at least 40% say they would purchase the press.
