I would accept a job at Facebook. The company is one of the greatest company in the tech world, offering a platform that connects billions, which presents a unique opportunity to make a large-scale impact. The data privacy concerns and exploitation to consumers associated with Facebook are not unique to it alone; other platforms like TikTok face similar challenges. This is more of an industry-wide issue, and being at Facebook could provide a platform to contribute towards better data handling practices.
On the ethical front, being within Facebook provides a chance to deal with the ethical challenges myself. Also, I can advocate for better practices from within. I don’t think it’s about the company as a whole, but what individuals can do to change it.
