Art of the OKR AND Babies, Bathwater and Goal-Setting

Objective: Launch an MVP of Joyride to Bay Area tech companies to use our products.

We want to have a small initial launch so that we can get an understanding of where our product stands. By creating an MVP for a few companies to use, we will be able to gather feedback easily and innovate in a lean way.

Key Results

  • Less than 5% of bikes will run into technical issues in a given quarter
    • We want to ensure that our bikes are high quality so that our users don’t run into any issues.
  • $50,000 profit by the end of MVP phase
    • We want to ensure that we will generate enough revenue to keep our business going. Especially since we are working with expensive physical products, it’s important that we have a higher profit margin than one might expect for an MVP of a digital product.
  • Net promoter score of 9
    • We want our products to provide genuinely positive experiences for our target customers and users. An NPS of 9 will show that we are delivering on that  and will show our value to other companies (even potentially through word of mouth), which will help with growth.
