BUSINESS: Should We Deploy a Gen AI Salesbot?

I think that they should definitely wait to deploy an AI chatbot considering the apprehension that not only her team and customers feel, but that Jeannie herself feels with this decision. As the expert Jim Lecinski touches on, there are issues in the way that Jeannie is frantically approaching this decision. Firstly, she is placing the AI chatbot as a solution and seeming to work out the different ways that it will help, instead of focusing on the biggest issues with her company and working out the best solutions to these issues. Secondly, her main drive to release this chatbot is rooted in a fear of the competition having it first as well as irritation for the stall in progress that covid entailed, both of which are just not constructive emotions in weighing the amount of benefits that the technology offers to her specific business. I also think that Jeannie shows an extreme disconnect from her team in the ways that she fails to consider the repercussions that intoroducing AI chatbots will have on the livelihood of her coworkers/employees and the overall culture of the company. As the second expert Dharmesh Shah explains, this model could drive a huge wedge in the relationship of existing employees to the company, whereas a solution that worked with employees instead of replacing them would likely bring a much better outcome within teams. Jeannie’s tunnel-visioned has left her with questions that cannot be answered because they fail to address the full scope of the situation.
