I would accept a job at Facebook.
I believe that the article touched on some great points about why someone would work at a particular company even though it may not be ethically moral such as maximizing their own potential even though they may not agree with the company’s decisions. However I think it also missed one of the most important reasons, which would simultaneously be the reason I would accept a job at Facebook, being wanting to improve the company.
I think Facebook has a huge network, customer segment and ability to create impact such that working from inside the company I would have access to resources and ability to create positive change that I would otherwise not have if I didn’t accept a job at Facebook.
Additionally, going back to the reasons that the article did mention, I also believe that Facebook would offer great personal opportunities for career growth, learning and advancing in a fast paced and diverse environment that I seek. I believe that the job offer I would accept with Facebook would align with most if not all of qualifications I would have for a job such as a certain wage, prestige, learning and training, space where I can have an actual impact and job security.
