GTM BrainSpark

Distribution Channels

How will you get your product to customers? Online, retail, B2B?

  • Directly to students
    • Sell online through Steam, the App Store, and Google Play
    • The online strategy makes sense because students often use digital resources to study and are familiar with downloading such resources
  • To universities
    • Students download as before and sign in with their university email to access the premium features
    • Teachers can download a browser extension to view the dashboard directly in Canvas or they can visit the teacher dashboard website.
    • Makes sense because students often use university emails to sign in to university-affiliated products and teachers are familiar with Canvas

Sales Strategy

Direct sales, channel partners, or self-service?

  • For students:
    • Self-service
    • Purchase through well-established game stores for trust and ease + familiarity of checkout
  • For universities:
    • Make B2B licensing deals with higher-level educational institutions.
    • Contact heads of STEM departments to pitch and demo our game.
    • The licensing strategy makes sense because not only have universities approached BrainSpark about licensing, but we also have course integration similar to other tools like Canvas.

Marketing and Promotion

How will you create awareness and demand?

$200k has been allocated towards the marketing of Math Quest 2

This campaign will begin from January 2025, three months before the April launch of Math Quest 2, and will run until March of 2026

  • University Outreach
    • Conferences: Apply to speak at EdTech seminars/conferences discussing our design and our success to build awareness and legitimacy
    • Demos: Host interactive demo presentations for university representatives to experience and learn about the value of the product.
    • University Affiliates: Encourage students using and enjoying MQ2 at targeted universities to promote MQ2, offering merch, exclusive discounts, and trial offers to those students.
  • Campaign:
    • Ads: Social media, flyering at targeted schools, online advertising (browsers, pop-ups, etc.)
    • Influencer Sponsorships: Educational Influencers (e.g. etymology, Kyne Santos, Kendra Nelson)
    • Focus on TikTok advertising leveraging the algorithm and suspected lower attention span of people on the app.

Customer Service Strategy

Describe the support infrastructure you’ll have in place post-launch, including customer service channels, FAQs, and user guides. Ensure a smooth customer experience to build loyalty.

  • We will have FAQs for students and teachers to answer common questions about how to use the game and issues people may run into
  • Will gather data and feedback from reviews via app stores and questionnaires sent to our partners.
  • Set up an email address, made salient in a “contact us” section of our website to address any customer questions/feedback/help requests.
    • Offer phone calls to work through potential issues on an individual basis
    • This keeps our service personalized and helpful without overwhelming our team with answering customer service calls
