Measuring Me Take 2: Waking Up Earlier

From Measuring Me Take 1, I realized that I want to (and really need to) start waking up earlier. The most valuable part of this exercise was not seeing what wasn’t working. More specifically, I could see behaviors which I didn’t realize were so impactful in making me wake up later, and how they related to everyday tasks such as those recorded in Measuring Me Take 1. When drawing the connection circle, I realized that a behavior I originally thought of as beneficial, such as exercising, actually impacted my sleep negatively when I exercised late and used caffeine to supplement my energy. From this assignment I have realized that my goal of waking up early, starts in the morning and every hour I need to checkin with myself and keep myself accountable to being in bed at a certain time.
