My OKRs for our product, Tandem, we wanted to launch it for real:
Objective:
Launch a basic app accessible to Stanford students with lots of opportunities to connect
Key Results:
Capture the student body of Stanford University such that 75% of the school’s undergraduate population is on Tandem.
At least 50% of current users open the app and engage with it twice a week
Objective:
Provide a means for friend groups to see who is free at the moment
Key Results:
Users are logging in and signaling their daily free times at least 50% of the time
Surveys of users reveal a net promoter score (NPS) of at least 7
I had some difficulties coming up with the OKRs for our product, Tandem, especially within the score of the key results. I realized that it’s hard to assign metrics to our product, especially without prior research on adoption rates of similar products. If we were to actually launch our app, we’d have to pay a lot more attention to this, and invest in more research to see how we can break down our core objectives to key results that are difficult, but also not impossible.
