Week 5 Milestone Team 1

Value Proposition:

Past Gains Features Products & Service
– Granola

– Homegrown

– Fellow

– reduce long meetings that are useless (shorter meetings)

– allow PMs to allocate time to more important work

– ensure meetings are actionable

– timer that alerts when something on the agenda meets allocated time

– Poll that pops up at the end of each agenda item for clear action items/decisions

– detect when conversations go stale

– stand alone app

– potential extension to meeting apps

Summary: We provide an alerting app for PMs who have too many recurring meetings that has real time transcript analysis with an alert when meetings go off topic. This differs from Granola because we are more focused on providing support real-time during a meeting instead of helping primarily with meeting preparation and follow up

Opportunity-Solution Tree:

Additional solutions (10 total):

– All meetings should result in a decision or something actionable-> AI-generated meeting summary and action items + automatically summarize the discussion, decisions, task owners, and deadlines

-Meetings could be shorter-> Meeting agenda time-limit alerts, notify the meeting host when an agenda item exceeds its allotted time

– Meetings are tiring Meeting-> free recovery blocks, automatically reserve short breaks between consecutive meetings to reduce fatigue

We listed the pilot at $10 a month, and our goal was to get 10 signups in one week. We posted it on substack and sent it to several PMs we interviewed, and we got 11 signups.

Story Map:

One thing we are changing: We got extremely valuable feedback from our pitch presentation that sometimes the beauty of meetings is in the connections between different agenda items and that a PM is paid to be able to tell when to keep a conversation going and when to move on to the next because it is no longer productive. Based on this insight, we are going to expand beyond simply alerting meeting participants when an agenda item has been discussed, and quicken can also help identify some of these potential connections in real time. We also learned that different teams like to hold meetings and encourage cross-agenda discussions in different ways, so we would love to allow a team to personalize their quicken and train it on what suggestions to offer and how to jump in when it detects a need to move on to the next agenda item.

One thing we learned from the reading: In the Continuous Discovery Habits reading, we learned about assumption tests and how it is important to run small tests before committing to a specific solution to identify the assumptions that our solution relies on and investigate whether these assumptions hold true for our target customers. Learning about assumption tests helped us complete our Opportunity-Solution Tree and identify the assumptions that underlie the solutions to opportunities that we brainstormed.
