The two most important values on the list of seven values for ranking jobs are number 1 and number 3. I want my job to be meaningful, and to make money to support my parents and my sister. Working at Facebook would only fulfill one of those requirements for me, making money, while completely ignoring the other one. At a company so bloated and obfuscated with mystery, I don’t think I could ever convince myself that what I would be doing is meaningful in any manner. In addition, being in the software space, there are plenty of other opportunities to make the money that I desire.
Would I work at Facebook if I needed to and it was my last option? Yes, because at the very least, the money should be good. Would I work there in real life, where I will try my best to find options that are better for myself? No, almost definitely not.
