Measuring Me Take 2

The behavior I wanted to change was watching as much Youtube as I do. Even though I set a time limit on my phone of an hour 20 a day, I often go over that amount. If anything, I would like to watch even less Youtube than my time limit. I noticed, and already knew, that I have a habit of using Youtube right when I wake up and right before going to bed. I use it when I wake up to help me get out of bed, and I use it before I go to bed so there is something playing in the background when I try to fall asleep. Unfortunately, this means that if I have more free time in my mornings, I sometimes end up spending way too long on Youtube due to the fact that I started my day with it. One habit that I did not know I had before starting this experiment was that I end up going on Youtube when I am “between tasks” so to say. Aka if I’m between classes, or between my work shift and lunch, I’ll automatically go on Youtube. I would like to change this habit into reading books when I have free moments, or simply not doing anything and allowing myself time to think. If I was to redo this activity, I would make sure to record time intervals more accurately so I knew exactly how much time I was spending on Youtube during each time of the day.
