1B Project Reflection

This was a really challenging project. I found it to be quite similar to something I’d see in a design class with the slides and the brainstorming of the idea, which was not surprising, but still hard every time.

I learned more about working as a team than anything else in this project — my team was very talented and everyone had different assets to bring to the table, but it was still difficult for us all to be product managers, yet also contribute equally fairly in the process. I think that a lot of industry product managers lack execution, and that was also something we had to overcome. My team members made it easy to get to the point, and figure out what we needed to finish now to succeed which I appreciated!

I also had to adapt and learn better time management. My teammates and I were all very busy people, and finding time for us all to meet was difficult at times. We had to set solid deadlines for ourselves and commit to delivering on those times. The pitch presentation was a good wake-up call to what we had left to achieve before the final deadline. It was also helpful in helping pivot our idea — talking to Christina helped us solidify our new idea.

It was a cool experience talking to our PM mentor, Bruce. He was very well-versed in the topics we discussed with him, and he offered solid judgment on our ideas, whether or not he thought they would work, and past examples in history he’s seen of our current business model which helped us determine conversion rates.

Overall, fun but difficult project! Thought it was fun experience brainstorming and figuring stuff out with the team.

Woohoo,

Annabelle
