1D Group Reflection

I had a great time working with the team on our goal of pivoting a previous player in flip phones to enter the smartphone market. I think the activities introduced in class and during section periods significantly improved the experience by mandating checkpoints of progress. I think all too often, I have experienced group-style projects where the majority of the quarter is left open-ended until the mid-point and final presentations which leads to a lot of procrastination or rushed work [depending on the group and work styles of course]. I really enjoyed having the time to give an initial pitch to a valuable feedback panel and having the time to collaborate with a PM mentor to iterate on our draft pitch deck to its final state today. I think the only request for change I have throughout this entire process was a clearer direction of materials covered – similar to a sequential list of main topics and subtopics to be covered per class. I think this would have helped with preparation for a greater grasp of the content to then use the learned material and apply it to further boost the pitch deck and class project.
