PROJECT WORK DUE 7A: Elaboration (Wireflows)

The main interactions we want to incorporate in our platform are illustrated in wireflows below.  We believe these functionalities are essential in offering our users exposure to conversation-starter questions of varying intensity each day and giving them the space to reflect on their conversations/log their experiences.

View & Save Q.O.D:

This is a simple flow that contains the Question Of the Day (QOD) along with some possible navigation functionality. The question of the day will appear with a an option to log for that question, save/like the question, go to next/prev question, and a marker for how “deep” the question is.

The navigation includes question library, where users can find their liked questions, as well as a repository of questions; QOD screen shown above; and, a profile view.

Log-in & Profile Flow

This flow shows what log-in would look like. The user has the option of continuing as guest, where they can immediately go to QOD, or log-in, which would allow them to keep track of things such as liked questions. Either way they’ll have the ability to onboard.

Logging & Reflections Flow

This flow describes what logging a users conversations would look like. The logging would happen in-app in order to be able to save them, and look back through them in the future.

Question Library Flow

A simple library showing different categories of questions.

Managing relationships / streaks

This alternative / potential feature flow describes what maintaining a streak with someone would look like. A user can select a friend with whom they’ve been using QOD, so as to encourage users to keep using the app for conversations starters as well as mitigate the issue of questions being too deep or too casual for different conversations partners. The longer the streak is the deeper the question. There is the question of whether you eventually “wrap around” to a more casual questions, or if we also let users pick.

Open questions

In creating these task flows, we ran into the question of whether or not a categorized list of questions is necessary.  We also include a “liked list” where users can store the Q.O.Ds they like in case they want to use them later.  With this in mind – is it necessary to also include a library of questions in this way?  Does this distract from our goals to offer a limited number of daily questions by giving the opportunity for the user to just scroll through a list whenever they want? We would really appreciate any feedback on this!
