Introduction
I created two Proto-Personas and two associated Journey Maps for two made up users representative of a small collection of individuals that participated in my team’s baseline study on giving and receiving compliments.
Positive Polly
Meet Positive Polly. She is super extroverted, so she loves being social and hanging out with her many friends. Her and her friends love to have fun and joke around. She cares a lot about her friends, and loves to make them feel more confident by giving them compliments about their hair or outfits. Sometimes she wants to tell her friends how much they mean to her, but the environments they’re in don’t feel right for those types of deeper thoughts to be shared.

Spontaneous Sally
Meet Spontaneous Sally. She is always around a lot of people, as she likes to hang out in public settings–doing work in coffee shops during the week, trying out new bars on the weekends, etc. She is always meeting new people, and loves to brighten their day with a compliment. Sometimes it can feel awkward to give compliments to strangers, especially when she’s not in conversation with them.
