ethical jobs response

I personally would be extremely hesitant to accept a job at Facebook, and I think that similarly to the reading, it would depend on my work’s proximity to what actions/features I considered unethical about Facebook. I believe that Facebook is very liable to conduct activities that are exploitative of consumers, an unethical facet that the article mentions. Facebook’s algorithms that direct specific ads and target consumers directly in order to maximize consumer engagement even though they may not be engaging in ethical content are what I am specifically concerned about. I would be hesitant to contribute any of my skills to Facebook’s power to create echo chambers and perpetuate dangerous/misleading information in order to generate revenue, at the expense of its consumers who faithfully use it every day.
